Sehnsucht

The perception that something is missing from one’s life, without the clarity of what one is yearning for is represented by the German word, “sehnsucht”. Our lives are often spent seeking that which we do not already have, and we hope to find fulfillment when we obtain our desires. It is disconcerting, though, to be unable to determine what would bring one satisfaction. Sometimes it is a matter of beholding the things that already surround us from a different perspective and finding happiness we had overlooked. This piece is a 1/1 edition carefully created by [Maneki Neko](https://foundation.app/@ManekiNeko). It began as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI. It was finished by merging images from five or more generations together to create a piece with a coherent color scheme, expression of a theme and packed full of intricate detail. Each piece is available in a printable resolution on request by the holder.
