Time-lapse Geometry Battle conceptualizes in a single image a series of multi-dimensional snap shots describing the process of geometric shapes coming together in a battle of wits, angles, curves, and color for the fate of the Geometriverse. The process of creating abstract art is like entering a zone of flow where the world falls away and the person no longer exists, and is consumed by an experience of painting. Painting as a verb. It takes focus, practice, great music, and a safe space without distractions. One time someone told me I used very bright colors, but they think I should use more earth tones. This painting has brown in it. I hope whoever told me that in the early 2000's comes across this piece and reads this description and thinks... "Hmm. I like the use of brown in this painting." If not, it was all for nothing. The original painting of this NFT no longer exists in this form. It was gifted to a family friend. But when I visited them years later, I witnessed it badly damaged by exposure to direct sunlight. It's hard to see something like that happen because I know it wasn't intentional. I'm also happy to have this high resolution scan so that it can live on forever on the blockchain. Or at least until someone leaves Ethereum out in the sun too long.
