In the work titled "They Are Here", we observe a young boy, silhouetted against an undetermined shore, fixating on distant flames. The inferno's origin remains veiled; 'they' elude identification, their motives a mystery.
It is a depiction of a perpetual reel of destruction etched not only in the boy's gaze but imprinted across ancestral lines. It's an unspoken saga, a relentless echo through generations.
The conflagration claims not just structures, perhaps a city or village, but an intimate concept of home. A very personal and autobiographical artwork, born from the experience that safety is a precarious illusion and a sanctuary merely a haven yet to face the ravages of fate. Remember that.
