Bijoux

Bijoux is defined as "a small, dainty, usually ornamental piece of delicate workmanship". Could this refer to the bright swirls and flowers that seem to be nacre inlaid in black laquer as on the surface of a prized trinket box, or the favorite pieces of jewelry kept within? Each are works of art to be treasured and looked on whever there is a need to rest ones eyes on a bit of beauty.
